St. Gregory Palamas orthodox school is a church founded under the Genuine Orthodox Church of America which started operation on 07/02/2023 with 100 pupils of whom 50 children are vulnerable coming from underprivileged backgrounds with extreme level of poverty.
We are kindly requesting for an urgent appeal for funding to support (50 children) in desperate need of help, some of these children are total orphans while others are children and relatives of our clergy. It is our duty to admit these vulnerable into our appropriate facilities at the school for safe and stable environment where they will be able to receive the required support and have the opportunity to complete their education. “Truly I say to you, whatever you for one of the least of these, you did it for me” (Matt. 25:40).
Rev. Deacon Jonah (Mugarura) care taker of the church of St. Magdalene Wampurutun, Kyembogo ward, Bisheshe, Ibanda District with Diakonisa Josephine together with their children.
Constantine’s mother Juliet has a psychotic disorder. Juliet fell victim of rape when she was suffering from mental health disorder and therefore the father of Constantine is not known. Constantine was removed from the mother and was brought to our boarding section where he will be safe from the worst conditions of living in slums where they are at risk of violence, sexual assaults and rape.
Constantine is very bright and committed to completing his primary school.
No child should end up homeless as a consequence of that; help us to help those beautiful young boys and girls to complete their primary education.
